Hahahaha. The feeling is really different when you holding on to the pink ic and known as nsmen.
Despite for the last few weeks of my nsf time, I had been enjoying life and free to go out anytime I like, even together with my batch boys that have already ord-ed in nov..things were just different. I can't really put it down in words, is just that the feeling is not completely full. Something seems to be lacking.
And yes. I have found it - the pink ic.
Perhaps even when I'm on off, there is still this fear that I might be recalled back. This uncertainty of suddenly become liable to the unit makes me feel restrained, which explains why I'm having such insecurities even though I'm not in camp. The freedom itself is not complete, thus even if I'm enjoying life, the satisfaction is not complete. The exact reason might be otherwise.
Pink ic, severs my ties with my unit, for at least till I'm recalled back as nsmen. It guarantees my freedom. Time to wake up, time to have meals, the choice to choose what to eat and going out on public holidays. Yes, I have regained the ability to control my own time which I had lost 2 years ago.
Very happy now. =)
All the best to those that are still serving NS and burning weekends and public holidays. It's just what all the boys in singapore have to go thru. I have gone thru mine. Just wait for your turn to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Last but not least, ORD LO!!

Last fri marks my end of 21 days not in camp spree. Spam all the leave and off.
The training on that friday was xiong. Can see the effects of slacking for 3 weeks. Just the first stretch of running I felt giddy le. After the run still gt static exercise, which caused my whole body including my 4 limbs to ache.
Even though with the aching limbs, that didn't stop me from going sitex. Bought a 18.5" Full HD LCD Benq monitor for 199 and a 2gb thumbdrive free. 3 years parts and labour warranty. Quite a bargain.
Bought one gaming mouse the following day from best denki. Quite good and cheap I would say. At least better than those I saw at sitex. Good in the sense it's similar to that of razer mouse. Comes with the normal left/right click and scrolling wheel, 1 double burst button, 2 customizable buttons at the side and 1 button to change the sensitivity of the mouse between 400dpi, 800dpi, 1200dpi and 1600dpi. 3 years warranty as well. However, it is cheap because the driver utilities sucks and it took me long before I could set up my mouse to my perferance. Then again, that is only 30 bucks, as compared to the razer one which is 80 bucks, especially for now the mouse has been tuned correctly to my needs.
Yup, and tomorrow will be my last day with the platoon. After which, would be doing ORD clearance. Happy. Indeed.
